TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: RE: Michael Bush NFL Draftee – Running back from the University of Louisville We have been closely associated with the follow-up and recovery of Michael Bush who is entering the NFL draft this year as a running back. He was injured last year during his senior year in college and fractured the distal third of his tibia and fibular. He recently had an exchange rodding of the tibia with reaming of it and then replacement of a larger rod. This was done about three to four weeks ago. He has made a remarkable improvement in the healing of the delayed union since that reaming and re-rodding. I reviewed an x-ray today and it looks like it is 99% healed. It certainly looks much better than it did some weeks ago. It is remarkable how quickly this has improved relative to the recent re-rodding. I also have reviewed a work-out where he has been running 100 yard dashes and gassers and is completely asymptomatic with cutting and running and doing some on the field drill activities. I would estimate that Michael Bush will pick up in the NFL where he left off in college and should be a top ranked running back taken in the 2007 NFL draft. The DVD that I reviewed today shows him during a recent work-out on April 16, 2007 where he is doing 100 yard runs, multiple ladder drills, front, side, etc., jump rope, box jumping and 225 pound squats. The DVD is very impressive relative to his functional ability. If there are any questions relative to his healing process which looks basically complete please don’t hesitate to contact me.
