href="/profile/Jordan-Palmer/1259">Jordan Palmer - was inconsistent passing the ball and he fumbled a snap in the scrimmage. Chris Leak - was accurate and had a nice tight spriral on his passes, but he measured in at just under 6-0 and he lacks great arm strength. Kevin Kolb - was accurate on short routes but his accuracy went down the further down the field he threw. A couple of his deep balls sailed over the receiver's heads. Lorenzo Booker displayed - excellent speed and blocking ability. He caught passes out in the flat but dropped passes over the middle. He also dropped a pitch. He got chewed out by the coach for not finishing his runs. Kenny Irons - looked good and is the best pure runner on the team. Kenneth Darby - struggled in pass protection. He also dropped alot of passes. Dwayne Bowe - had a good day overall. He seemed to be the South's "go to" receiver. He made a great catch where he tipped the ball back to himself, then caught it as he was falling to the ground. He also burned Kevin Payne deep, but he wasn't able to come up with the ball. Courtney Taylor - looked good and made a couple great leaping catches. Johnnie Lee Higgins - ran precise routes and displayed good speed and ball skills. Joe Newton - looked good as a receiver. Martrez Milner - didn't look natural catching the football. Tony Ugoh - had a good day, pancaking Chase Pittman on more than one occasion. Ryan Kalil - was impressive in run blocking, pancaking his opponent on multiple occasions. Tim Crowder - displayed good quickness of the edge, beating Joe Staley on a consistent basis. Tank Tyler - did well in 1-1 drills. In the scrimmage he was a force against the run but he didn't really get after the quarterback. Chase Pittman - beat Tony Ugoh off the edge a couple times. Patrick Willis - displayed quick feet and the ability to make plays sideline to sideline. He also had an interception in the scrimmage and had a good return after Brandon Merriweather pitched the ball to him following a fumble recovery. Buster Davis - was impressive today, particuarly in coverage. Jonathan Wade - made a diving interception during skeleton drills. Chansie Stuckey - dropped a punt. Nick Folk - made all of his extra points. He did well on field goals as well but didn't attempt any further than 40 yards out. David Irons was beat several times. He also dropped an interception and interferred on a couple plays.
