href="/profile/Chris-Leak/1212">Chris Leak - Wasn't as accurate as he was yesterday but he had a nice, tight spiral on his passes. Kenneth Darby - Had a good day as a receiver, catching nearly every pass that came his way. He also displayed good speed, breaking a couple long runs to the outside during the scrimmage. Kenny Irons - Had problems catching the ball, dropping several passes as a receiver out of the backfield. He broke several nice long runs and still appears to be the best pure runner on the South squad. La'Ron McClain - Big, strong fullback who displayed solid hands as a receiver out of the backfield. A.J. Davis - Was consistently beaten in coverage all day. Chansi Stuckey - Had a good day running precise routes and catching nearly every pass thrown his way. David Irons - Was picked on alot and gave up several touchdowns during redzone drills. Chris Davis - Got some work as a return specialist and dropped a punt. Dwayne Bowe - Has great size and continued to display sure hands. He has turned some heads and has been the most consistent receiver on the South squad all week. Courtney Taylor - Displayed solid hands but he appeared to run the wrong route on several occasions. Joe Newton - Huge target who looked good as a receiver. He came up with a great one-handed catch in the scrimmage. He does need to improve his blocking Martrez Milner - Still doesn't look natural as a receiver and he dropped several catchable balls. Ryan Kalil - Had a good day. Impressive in both pass protection drills and as a run blocker in the scrimmage. Joe Staley - Looked good in pass protection drills. Worked at left tackle and looks to have the ability to play there at the next level. Quentin Moses - Consistently got pressure in pass rush drills. Looks as though he could play end in a 4-3 or outside linebacker in a 3-4, though he says he is more comfortable at defensive end. Tim Crowder - Consistently got pressure in pass rush drills. Chase Pittman - He got what would've been a sack in pass rush drills, but he was ineffective for most of the day. Rufus Alexander - Very instinctive. Displayed great range and was always around the football. Patrick Willis - Still appears to be the best linebacker on the squad, making plays all over the field. Brandon Meriweather - Easily the most impressive defensive back for the South squad today. He broke up alot of passes and had an interception. He could stay at safety, but he has great speed and looks as though he could project as a corner at the next level as well. Jonathan Wade - Had what would've been a pass interference call in the endzone. Aaron Ross - Was beaten alot during 1-1 drills and redzone drills. Kevin Payne - Was burned for a long touchdown for the second consecutive day. Michael Griffin - Had a fumble recovery during the scrimmage. Daniel Sepulveda - Worked alot on getting punts inside the 10 yard line. His end over end style was effective. Nick Folk - Was pretty accurate kicking field goals today, but his range only goes out to around 45 yards. He attempted several kicks from 50+, all were right down the middle but came up short. Brett Goode - Was impressive as the long snapper. Team interest: Browns - Nick Folk, Daniel Sepulveda, Chansi Stuckey, Mansfield Wrotto, Buster Davis Titans - Dallas Baker Giants - Brandon Meriweather, Joe Staley, Rufus Alexander, Ryan Kalil 49ers - David Irons Saints - Earl Everett, Buster Davis Eagles - Kevin Payne Chargers - Quentin Moses (asked about moving to OLB) Ravens - DeMarcus Tyler, Dallas Baker, Patrick Willis Bengals - Ryan McBean, Ray McDonald Broncos - Tim Crowder, Dustin Fry, Brandon Meriweather Chiefs - Patrick Willis Texans - Patrick Willis Panthers - Lorenzo Booker Press Conference Notes: Coach Nolan -Team will practice in just helmets on Thursday -Lorenzo Booker reminds him of Warrick Dunn |
