With the draft rapidly approaching, I'm devoting this week's article to some random "unknowns". The guys who will either be drafted very late, or not at all, and discarded in the minds of football fans as schmucks who will never make an impact---but who could very likely find themselves opening eyes should they luck into the opportunity to start---basically the Antoine Bethea's of the world. Remember, if there's even a remote chance we could hear a guy's name before the 6th round, it won't be listed here. So here you go...the "forget-me-not"'s of the 2007 Draft.

Ted Ginn Jr. wasn't healthy enough to run Ginn-like times, but nobody left his private workout yesterday disappointed in the former Ohio State receiver.
Ginn suffered a foot sprain in the Jan. 8 national-title game and started running again only three weeks ago, his father said. Ted Ginn Sr. estimated that his son was about "75 to 80 percent" healthy when he auditioned for at least 15 NFL teams in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Ginn Jr. ran three 40-yard dashes on the indoor artificial turf, and the consensus of a number of scouts and coaches was that the times averaged 4.4 seconds. Ginn Sr. reported 4.38, 4.40 and 4.41. Brady Quinn would probably give anything for a compliment that didn't begin with "Will you sign this for me?". Quinn has become the Mr. X of the 2007 NFL Draft, Who is Mr. X? Well, some years you actually end up having Mr.'s Y & Z as well, but this year Mr. X alone will be Brady Quinn....the guy with all the talent and potential in the world but whom everyone just has to find something wrong with and move other players ahead of him at his position. Last year it was a dual threat Leinart/Young. This year it looks like the title belongs to Quinn, and Quinn alone.
But you guys, and you know who you are, are wrong. Quinn is for real. Read More From: On the Clock Draft Deshawn Wynn Interview

When someone mentions the term "March Madness," you can't help but think of buzzer-beating jumpers, Mid-Major upsets, and of course CBS Bonus Coverage. In an NFL War Room this time of year brings a different meaning.

There seems to be a Pro Day on every calendar date. And players on your current roster have the dreaded "down time." In a few weeks NFL Scouting Departments will take a collective deep breath, digest three months of obscure numbers and begin to form their "Big Board."
