Adam Seward earned the starting strong side linebacker job in 2001 after sitting out the previous season as a redshirt. He moved to middle linebacker in 2002 and started there for the next three years. By the end of his junior season, Seward was UNLV's all-time leading tackler. By the end of his senior year he was the all-time leading tackler for the entire Mountain West Conference with 433 tackles, smashing the previous record of 334 career tackles. Seward is an extremely hard worker and a very durable player who hasn't had any major injuries. He has an excellent combination of size and speed for a middle linebacker. He impressed at the combine when he put up 32 strength reps and ran one of the fastest 40 times of all inside linebackers with a 4.62. He is a very smart player who is good at quickly reading and reacting to what the offense is doing. He has good upper body strength and does a good job of taking on blockers. He has the speed to stay with most tight ends in coverage but will struggle if he is forced to cover a running back out of the backfield. He is a very good tackler but he will struggle at times when forced to make a tackle in the open field. Adam Seward is a player who was thought to be a mid round pick a few months ago. Since his excellent predraft workouts, he is now a player on the rise who could get drafted in the second or third round. Player News Feed
