Undrafted Analysis
Adam Terry is a huge left tackle who is still developing physically. He started out as a 278 pound freshman and has gotten bigger every year. At 6'9", 324lbs, he has the frame to easily add another 20 pounds of weight. He has a good deal of experience as a starter, having started at left tackle for the past three seasons. In that time period he has proven to be a very durable player, finishing his career with 35 consecutive starts. He has long arms that help him keep the defenders away from his body and the speed and atleticism to pull or block on screen passes. He has the quick feet you look for in a left tackle and has developed into an excellent pass blocker. He learned how to pass protect by practicing against former teammate Dwight Freeney, who now has 40 career sacks in three NFL seasons.Terry has dominated some of the top defensive ends in college, including Chris Canty from Virginia and Mathias Kiwanuka from Boston College. He has paved the way for Walter Reyes in the running game but still could use some improvement in his run blocking technique. Terry is an aggressive player who is nice as can be off the field, but when he straps the helmet on, he has a real "mean streak" that I like to see in an offensive lineman. Adam Terry has a great deal of upside and looks to be a solid second round pick at this point. I wouldn't be surprised to see him move up into the first round between now and draft day.
