Analysis
Babatunde Oshinowo has a good deal of experience having started at nose tackle the past three seasons at Stanford. During that time he has proven to be a very durable player who rarely misses time due to injury. He has a good combination of size and athleticism for a defensive tackle. He is a big, physical player who has been equally effective against both the run and the pass. He is a very strong player with the ability to shed blocks and penetrate the line of scrimmage. He has been very good at taking on double teams, allowing his teammates to make plays. He is an intelligent player who works hard. He leads by example and is well-known as a person of high character. He doesn’t have the greatest motor, usually tiring out before the game is over. He needs to improve his technique and he may need to bulk up if he is going to play nose tackle in the NFL. Babatunde Oshinowo is a solid defender with top notch intangibles. He projects as a late first to early second day pick; however his ability to play in both the 4-3 and 3-4 defensive schemes could allow him to be drafted a little higher, especially considering the growing number of teams that run a 3-4 defense these days.
