Analysis
Brodrick Bunkley really became a force on the Seminole defensive line as a senior. He has a good combination of strength and athleticism for a defensive tackle. He has a quick first step, does a good job of penetrating the line, and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. He has a non-stop motor and plays every down as though it were his last. He is an exceptional pass rusher with good closing speed getting to the quarterback. He’s a better pass rusher than he is a run stopper. Brodrick lacks ideal size for a defensive tackle and he can be pushed around by larger offensive linemen at times. He has to rely on quickness and good leverage to defeat the bigger offensive linemen. Durability could be a cause for concern with Bunkley—he has had some injury problems in high school and at Florida State. Brodrick had an excellent senior season after replacing Travis Johnson who went to the NFL. He totaled 57 tackles and 9 sacks on the year. His stock is rising and he could find a spot in the latter portion of round one on draft day. Player News Feed
