Cedric Houston came in and contributed as a true freshman. He led the team in rushing the next two seasons making himself the first player in nearly ten years to lead the Volunteers in rushing in consecutive seasons. He missed leading the team in rushing for a third consecutive season this past year when Gerald Riggs ran for two more yards than he did. He has a good combination of size and speed for a running back. He runs well between the tackles and has the ablility to turn the corner on the outside as well. He does all the little things you look for in a complete back--He has good hands and is an effective blocker. He has split time every year that he has been at Tennessee so he hasn't really had the opportunity to prove that he can carry the load for an entire season. He hasn't had any major injury problems but he has had some small injuries that have kept him out of 2-4 games each season. Cedric Houston has all the tools to become a complete back at the professional level and should be a mid round pick in April. Player News Feed
