Analysis
Chansi Stuckey is a versatile player who has led the Tigers in receiving the past two seasons after converting to receiver from quarterback in 2004. He is a hard worker and a team player who will do whatever is asked of him. He has good hands and catches the ball with his hands away from his body. He has good body control and does a good job of adjusting while the ball is in the air. He has excellent speed which he uses to gain separation on his opponents and he is a threat to take it the distance anytime he touches the football. He is very elusive in the open field and he does a good job of getting yards after the catch. He can contribute on special teams as a return specialist. Chansi has good height, but is a bit thin for a receiver. He isn’t very physical and will have trouble against bigger, stronger defensive backs. He has had injury problems in the past. That along with his size will cause scouts to question his durability. Chansi has only been playing the receiver position for three years and he is still a bit raw. He will need to improve his route running at the next level. Chansi Stuckey is a versatile player who could contribute immediately as a return specialist for the team that drafts him. He probably will never become a #1 receiver in the NFL but he should develop into a very good slot receiver in time. He should be a late first or early second day pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
