Chris Henry doesn't have a great deal of experience, but he has proven to be a big-play receiver over the past two years at West Virginia. He burst onto the scene in 2003 averaging just under 25 yards per reception and 10 touchdowns on the year. He is a tall receiver who could stand to put on a few pounds and get stronger. He has the speed to beat most defensive backs deep and has great hands when he has his head in the game. He adjusts well when the ball is in the air and has an outstanding leaping ability. He needs to work on doing the little things better. He is only an average blocker and needs to improve his route running. He likes to make the big play but doesn't like to catch a short pass over the middle for a first down. His biggest problem is with his attitude. He was suspended twice as a senior. The first time was for flashing obscene gestures to fans after being ejected from the Rutgers game for multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. He was also suspended from the game on Thanksgiving for violating multiple team rules. Chris Henry is still developing as a receiver and will only get better. He has the potential to be the best wide receiver of this class if he works hard at it. He has all the talent in the world but a lack of maturity could hurt him on draft day. He has first round talent and fourth round character. Player News Feed
