Analysis
Clark Harris has been the starting tight end at Rutgers for the past four seasons. During that time he has been a very durable player who has started 43 consecutive games. He is a hard worker and a person of high character. He has a good combination of size and strength for a tight end. He is a big target with soft hands. He is a tough player who isn’t afraid to go over the middle and make a difficult catch in traffic. He does a good job of using his body to put himself in position to make the catch. He is a great short to intermediate range target but he lacks the speed required to stretch the field. He is able to break tackles and gain additional yardage after the catch. Harris is a reliable receiver for the most part, but he will drop catchable passes at times. He had problems with his blocking early on in his career but he has worked hard to improve in that area. This is still an area where he needs to continue to show improvement at the next level. Clark Harris isn’t an elite tight end prospect, but he does have the ability to develop into a solid starter in the NFL. He should be a mid round pick in the 2007 NFL draft. Player News Feed
