Analysis

Devin Aromashodu has a good combination of height and speed for a receiver. He is a tall, thin receiver with long arms. His speed allows him to gain seperation from defenders and he is a threat to take it the distance anytime he touches the football. His long arms and 40' vertical leap give him the ability to go up and win the battle for most jump balls. He has solid hands for the most part but he will drop some catchable passes and he does have a tendency to catch the ball with his body at times. He needs to work on catching the ball with his hands more consistently and improve his route running to be successful at the next level. He isn't a very physical receiver and he could improve his blocking. As previously mentioned Devin has a thin build and would benefit from adding about 10 pounds of bulk. He does have experience returning kicks which should add to his draft day value. Devin Aromashodu is a bit raw, but he has a great deal of upside. He could come in and contribute immediately as a return specialist and could develop into a good receiver with some work. He should be a second day pick in the 2006 NFL draft.
