65 punts, 42.4 yard average Analysis
Donnie Jones is well known for his extremely strong leg. He once punted the ball 86 yards (70 yards in the air), a school record, against Kentucky in 2002. The punt forced Kentucky to take over on their one yard line. Jones is a very experienced punter, having started for the Tigers since his freshman year. He had 65 punts for a 42.4 yard average as a senior and has 233 punts for a 42 yard average in his career. Although Jones does have a strong leg, he sometimes struggles with consistently getting good hang time. This is the one area I feel he needs to improve on to excel at the next level. There is no doubt Jones has the talent to be a punter in the NFL, he is one of the top punters going into the draft. Player News Feed
