Analysis
Dwayne Jarrett has been starting at receiver for USC since his true freshman season in 2004. During that time he has proven to be a very durable player who has only missed one game in his career due to injury (Washington. St. 2006). He is a tough player who played with a separated shoulder this past season. Dwayne has an excellent combination of size and athleticism for a receiver. He runs good routes and has outstanding hands. He will go up and snatch the ball at its highest point. He isn’t afraid to go over the middle and make a difficult catch in traffic. He has good body control and uses his size to put himself in position to make the catch. His size and leaping ability make him an excellent redzone target. Dwayne lacks great strength and isn’t as physical as you would expect a player his size to be. He has pretty good speed but lacks the elite speed of other prospects at the receiver position. He is just an average blocker at moment but he should be able to improve in that area in the future as he increases his strength. Dwayne Jarrett is one of the most talented receivers available in a good receiver draft. He has dropped off due to poor workouts but he should be a late first round pick in the 2007 NFL draft.
