Eric King has a good deal of experience, having been a starting corner at Wake Forest since the fifth game of his freshman year. King is an extremely hard worker and gives 100% in everything he does. He has proven to be a true leader, both on and off the field and was voted team MVP by his teammates at the conclusion of the 2003 season. As a junior, he became the first demon deacon to be named first team all-ACC in sixteen years. After being elected second team all-ACC this past season, he became the first Wake Forest player to be named to the all-ACC team in consecutive seasons since 1992. He has proven to be a real playmaker at the cornerback position and he always seems to be around the ball. He has good speed but he lacks ideal size for a corner and he may struggle against taller receivers in the NFL. He is solid against the run but needs to improve his tackling technique. He has experience not only as a corner, but as a kick returner as well and he should be able to step in and contribute on special teams immediately at the professional level. Eric projects as a late round pick at this point and he could develop into a good reserve corner in the NFL. Player News Feed
