Russell was a very productive running back at Iowa, he ran for over 1200 yards in each of the past two years. He is a good, fluid runner who flows through his blocks. He has the speed to break a long run. He is not a threat in the passing game and gets overwhelmed pass blocking because of his small size. He is a small back who will not be able to hold up as a full time back in the NFL. Russell projects as a 5th or 6th round pick.
