Undrafted Analysis
Geoff Hangartner is a very versatile lineman with a great deal of starting experience. He redshirted in 2000 and was primarily a backup center in 2001. He started at center for the Aggies as a sophomore and as junior, before moving to tackle and earning first team All-Big XII honors as a senior. He has proven to be a very durable player, starting every single game the past three seasons. He is a excellent run blocker who is strong at the point of attack. He isn’t the most athletic lineman and he will have problems getting to the second level. He knows how to read a defense and make the proper line calls as a center. He needs to show some improvement when it comes to technique and he may need to bulk up and increase his strength, but he does have a good frame to work with. He has had some off the field problems in the past year. He was arrested for DWI about a year ago and suspended from the team as a result. He was reinstated prior to the season and lack of evidence had the charge reduced to a couple of tickets. Hangartner is an early day two prospect with the ability to develop into a good starting center down the road. Player News Feed
