He became just the second Bronco in school history to have back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons. He averaged over 14 yards per punt return that season as well. He was named team MVP, offensive MVP, and first team all-Mac for his play as a junior. Analysis
Greg Jennings has a lot of experience, having started and been the top receiver for Western Michigan over the past three seasons. Greg is an intelligent player and an extremely hard worker. He has the speed to make plays down the field and the toughness to make a difficult catch over the middle. He runs good routes and does a good job of putting himself in position to make the catch. He has soft hands and catches the ball away from his body. He does a good job of tucking the ball away after the catch. He can be an elusive open field runner who will get yards after the catch. Jennings didn’t play against the highest level of competition at Western Michigan. He also lacks ideal size and strength. He isn’t much of a blocker and he will have trouble against bigger, more physical defensive backs at times. Greg Jennings was an extremely productive player in college who has been moving up draft boards after his fine performance at the combine. His ability to return kickoffs and punts will only add to his draft day value. He should be drafted on the second day in the 2006 NFL draft. Player News Feed
