Heath Miller began his career at Virginia as a 225 pound quarterback. He has since added 30 pounds of muscle, but hasn't lost his ability to throw the football. He tossed a 20 yard touchdown pass on a trick play as a sophomore. Miller broke ACC single season records with 70 receptions and 835 yards as a sophomore and was the 2004 Mackey award winner for the nation's best tight end. He has terrific atleticism for a tight end his size. He is an excellent receiver with great hands and although he doesn't do it very often, he does have the speed to stretch the field when required. He has made progress in his route running and his blocking skills over the past few years. However, he can still use some work in both of those areas to become a top tight end at the professional level. Heath has only been playing the tight end position for three years and he is still developing. He isn't an elite prospect like a Kellen Winslow or a Jermey Shockey. However, he is currently the best all-around tight end in the draft and he has a ton of upside. He should be the first tight end selected and a first round pick in April. Player News Feed
