Analysis
Jarrad Page has a great deal of experience having started at strong safety for UCLA since his freshman season. He is an instinctive safety with a good combination of size and speed for the position. He is a physical player who will step up and support the run. He has good range and is a solid wrap-up tackler. He has good hands and is reliable in coverage. He can be dangerous after the interception. He does have trouble getting off blocks and he will overpursue at times. He needs to improve his ability to read the quarterback and reduce the number of times he is beaten deep. He is good in zone coverage but he does struggle in man coverage at times. Jarrad has all the physical tools to become a solid safety. He has been a two-sport athlete in college, missing spring practices while playing baseball. This has slowed his development. He does have some areas to improve on and he may be able to do so when he is focused on football alone. He has a good chance to be drafted on the second day of the 2006 NFL draft. Player News Feed
