Jarrett is probably the least exciting running back to come out of Miami in the past few years. He was a backup to Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, and Frank Gore. He started as a senior after Gore tore up his knee. As most people know, he is the son of the late Walter Payton, an NFL legend. Payton is a great pass catching back with the atleticism to go after poorly thrown balls. His pass blocking is solid. He is a tweener between a power runner and outside runner. He will be drafted in the last few rounds as a backup who can cover all the bases, but right now I do not see him developing into a full time starter. Player News Feed
