127 TACKLES, 1 SACK, 1 FUMBLE RECOVERY Analysis
The top MLB in the draft, actually could end up at outside linebacker in the NFL at some point. He is a hard hitter and a fundamentally sound tackler. He makes alot of tackles behind the line of scrimmage. 3 year starter at MLB for the canes--Vilma is a good leader, both on and off the field. He has the ability to drop back into coverage, and the speed to make plays sideline to sideline. Vilma is an extremely smart player, who takes good angles and almost always puts himself in the right spot to make a big play. Lack of ideal size and strength makes it difficult for Vilma to shed blocks of bigger offensive linemen--He has benefited from having a great defensive line. He did weigh in about 10lbs heavier at the combine than most scouts expected, which will help him out tremendously on draft day. Player News Feed
