Analysis

A sickeningly productive college receiver, Larry Fitzgerald is ranked by most as the top wide receiver prospect in the 2004 draft. He has incredible body control and hands, but there are questions about his speed, and he has struggled against top-notch cover corners. He needs more experience and refinement at the position, and it could take a couple of seasons before he reaches his full capabilities. Despite his insane college production, it's possible he'll never be as dominant a pro player as some of the other elite receiving prospects, who combine similar and perhaps superior overall talent. All that said, Larry Fitzgerald will most likely go in the top five, and he should be a good, if not great, NFL receiver.
