Williams played cornerback for 2 years at Towson Univeristy prior to transferring to Maryland and redshirting his Junior year. He's been a starter at free safety in all 26 games over the past two seasons at Maryland, recording 163 tackles and 7 interceptions for the Terps. Williams has a good combination of size and speed and excels in coverage. He is equally as good in run support, making him one of the better all around safeties in the draft. He needs to add some bulk and has the frame in which to do so. Williams is an underrated player and has all the tools to develop into very good safety. He could be a steal on draft day.
