Undrafted Analysis
Marcus is a very experienced player who has been a four-year stater at guard and tackle for the Rebels since redshirting in 2000. He has proven to be a very durable player, starting 48 consecutive games including 45 at guard and 3 games filling in for injuries at tackle. He displays good speed and initial quickness, but he doesn't have the all-around atleticism required to play left tackle. He could play right tackle or stay at guard in the NFL. He has excellent size with the frame to get even bigger. He lacks ideal strength and power and will need to work on getting stronger. He has long arms which help him keep defenders away from his body in pass protection. He has displays good all-around technique and has the "mean streak" you like to see in an offensive lineman. He is an extremely intelligent player who majored in Criminal Justice at Ole Miss. Marcus has a good chance to move to tackle in the NFL which will increase his draft day value. He lacks experience as a tackle but if NFL teams feel he can handle the tackle position, he will be drafted higher than he will if he is drafted as a guard. Either way he is a solid second round pick in the 2005 NFL draft. Player News Feed
