Stats

58 punts, 45.0 yard average

Analysis

Gould has a very strong leg and has been among the best in the nation over the course of his career at Northern Arizona. He averaged 45 yards per punt as a senior and an amazing 48.2 yards as a junior. Gould put his strong leg on display early in his career when he nailed a 78 yard punt against Montana as a sophomore. An additional bonus for Gould is his ability to utilize his strong leg for kickoff duties. The biggest knock on Gould is his need for improvement on his hang time. He also has had some problems with having punts blocked in college. Gould has a great leg and should be the top punter selected in the 2004 NFL Draft.
