Analysis

Mike Williams has extraordinary talent. He has speed, height, bulk and great hands. To me he has more talent than Larry Fitzgerald. He was not as productive as Fitzgerald in college, but what people don't pay attention to is the fact that he was lining up across from Keary Colbert who also put up 1000 yard seasons in both of William's 1250+ yard campaigns. There are only so many balls to go around, and Fitzgerald was able to benefit from the fact that Pitt really didn't have anyone else to throw the ball to. He is a playmaker, often making spectacular catches that many players would drop. He has a knack for finding the endzone as well, posting 30 touchdowns in only 2 seasons at USC. He doesn't have amazing speed, probably around 4.4 in the 40 yard dash, but he can definitely get seperation both down the field and in intermediate routes. His height allows his quarterback to throw the ball in places where only he can get it. There aren't many downsides to a player like this, which is why Williams will most likely be a top 5 pick in the draft.
