Analysis
Nick Folk has a good deal of experience, having started for Arizona for the past three seasons. He is a versatile player who can kick field goals and extra points, serve as a kickoff specialist, and even punt. He is a right legged, soccer-style kicker with a strong leg. He is a very good kickoff specialist who will get a lot of touchbacks. His leg strength has been good from as far away as 53 yards in the regular season, but he hit a 62 yard attempt in Arizona’s spring game last year. He is a bit inconsistent, having only made 63.8% (30 of 47) of his career field goal attempts. He doesn’t just miss long field goals. He misses short kicks as well. 7 of his 17 career misses came from distances shorter than 40 yards. He was 8 of 16 from 40-49 yards and 3 of 5 from 50+ in his career. His ability to step in and punt when needed should add to his value; however, he is too inconsistent to warrant a selection in the draft. He should be signed as an undrafted free agent and get a opportunity to compete for a job in camp. Player News Feed
