Background

Nick is an extremely hard worker; he walked onto the Virginia Tech football team in 2002. By 2003 he played in 9 games and handled 47 snaps on field goals and PATs, without having one bad snap. Nick also earned the Super Iron Hokie honors in 2003 and 2004, in 2004 he posted a 370-pound bench, a 550-pound squat, a 316-pound power clean and a 309-pound push jerk in spring testing.
