Analysis

Reynaldo Hill spent two years at Dodge City Community College before coming to the University of Florida. In 2001 at Dodge City, he anchored the nation’s best pass defense. In 2002, he finished with 22 pass breakups, 57 tackles, 3 interceptions, and two kickoffs and a punt returned for a touchdown. He was ranked the number two defensive back and number eight player overall (non-high school) by Rivals.com

Hill has started the past two seasons for the Gators, his first two with the team, and has done a solid job. He’s a very fast corner, as evident by a 4.32 40 time and a 10.5 100 meter dash time. He won’t get beat deep often. He has great quickness and catch up speed. Because he only played in a major college conference for two years, he’ll probably come into the NFL as a raw, undeveloped talent and will need a year or two to develop his skills. He’s not a very big corner, at 5’11 he’s probably about average size. Hill has good kickoff and punt return skills and while he probably will not be a starter at the position, he can definitely be a quality backup. Hill has never had any major injuries and has played through a few small injuries that he’s had. Hill will probably be a mid-round pick by a team looking to develop a young corner.
