The Conference USA career tackle leader (493), Rod Davis is a force against the run in the middle, but struggles when forced to change direction and has poor range. Davis had an incredible junior year, recording 168 tackles and 10.5 sacks, dispite nagging injuries that plagued him throughout the season. He needs to improve his pass coverage skills to be a 3 down linebacker at the professional level. Davis has the size, strength and run-stuffing ability you look for in a middle linebacker, but lack of an all-around game will push him back to the late 2nd or early 3rd round.
