Roscoe Parrish still has one year of eligibility left at Miami, but he has decided to enter the draft a year early. At 5’9, 170lbs, Parrish lacks ideal size for a starting receiver in the NFL. He gets a quick release off the line and is able to secure most catchable passes, although he does have a tendency to catch the ball with his body rather than his hands at times. He has great speed (4.40 in the 40) and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He adjusts well to poorly thrown passes and he isn’t afraid to go over the middle and make a tough catch in traffic. Parrish was not only a very good receiver at Miami, but an outstanding return specialist as well. His size is what concerns you the most—you have to wonder if he is going to be able to hold up over a 16 game schedule in the NFL and he will struggle against larger defensive backs if he doesn’t outrun them. He will never be a true #1 receiver in the NFL but he has the ability to contribute immediately as a return specialist and he could develop into a good slot receiver in time. He could be a mid-round pick for a team looking for a player to stretch the field and return kicks. Player News Feed
