Analysis
Ryan Moore started at receiver for the Hurricanes during two of the past four seasons, missing the majority of his sophomore season due to injury and his senior season due to suspension. He has an excellent combination of size, speed, and athleticism for a receiver. His size allows him to matchup against bigger, more physical defensive backs and his speed allows him to stretch the field vertically. His combination of size, strength, and leaping ability makes him a dangerous target in the redzone. He uses his body to catch rather than his hands and he goes through periods where he drops too many catchable balls. With his size and long arms he should be able to get the ball at its highest point but usually doesn’t. He needs to improve his route running and blocking to become a more complete receiver at the next level. He has a questionable work ethic and is known for taking plays off. Character issues will hurt Moore’s draft stock. He missed the Peach Bowl his junior season and the first 8 games of his senior season due to suspension for violating team policy. Ryan Moore has all the tools to become a big play receiver but he has yet to put it all together. He may need to go to a team with a coach that will keep him motivated. He has a chance to be drafted on the second day of the 2007 NFL draft. Player News Feed
