An undersized lineman with good speed, Will Smith might best be utilized as a situational edge rusher in the NFL. A good defensive coach may well get immediate production as a pass rusher from him, making him a difference-maker, although he may not have the overall ability to make it as an every-down player. Against a big, quick tackle he'll have trouble in stand-up battles, especially against the run.
