Analysis
Yamon Figurs has been a significant contributor as both a receiver and return specialist for Kansas State since transferring from Garden City Community College three years ago. Figurs has outstanding speed and was the fastest player at the combine putting up a 4.30 in the 40. Once he has the ball in his hands, Figurs is very elusive. He gets a lot of yards after the catch and is a threat to take it the distance at any time. Figurs lacks great size and strength for a receiver. He isn’t very physical and he will have trouble getting off the line at times. He drops too many catchable balls to be a reliable receiver. He gets in and out of his breaks well but he still needs to work on improving his route running. Yamon Figurs is a bit raw as a receiver. He is a hard worker with a good deal of upside due to his speed. He could be a valuable player as a slot receiver and return specialist in the NFL. Yamon projects as a second day pick in the 2007 NFL draft. Player News Feed
